Yoga Class
Class Description: Class session will be moderately paced and appropriate for all level students. It will be a mixed style class incorporating Vinyasa yoga as well as attention to alignment and technique. Clear instruction is given in breathing technique, warm-up and posture flow. New students will develop body awareness, posture alignment and core strength in basic poses. Modifications are given allowing the students to choose a more beginning or more advanced practice according to their needs. Everyone works on his or her own ability and comfort level.
Melissa S. Capel, RYT200, Melissa has been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching for 5 years. C She completed a 220-hour interdisciplinary yoga-training program at Amalam School of Yoga at Outer Banks Yoga in January 2014.She is a Certified Yoga Instructor, registered with Yoga Alliance. Melissa is known for her non-judgmental teaching style. She finds joy in helping others connect the mind, body, and breath through yoga.
You will need to bring your own yoga mat.

Ayden Arts and Recreation is offering Self Defense & Fitness Class. This high-energy way to get in shape
while learning real-world self-defense skills. During each class, you will learn
proper striking techniques, how to fall safely without injury, and effective
ways to escape from common holds. Each class is designed to give you a
full-body workout while also equipping you with real-world self-defense
strategies.
KICKBOXING INSTRUCTOR:
Demetrius “Oaktree” Edwards is a professional kick boxing Champion. He has developed many exercise routines. After he retired from the ring, he moved back to his hometown Ayden to teach others how to stay physically fit and active. Participants will be using some of the same exercise routines he uses as a professional kick boxer.
Class will take a maximum of 20 participants and minimum 8 participants
CLASSES: This is 5 week program, class will meet weekly on Monday & Thursday, Starting June 15th
